NEW BEDFORD-Albert F. Barselou, 87, of New Bedford passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a period of declining health.& He was the loving husband of 64 years to the late Rita D. (Carreau) Barselou. Born and raised in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph H. Barselou and the late Marie L. (Bodeau) Morse and her late husband Norman, Albert was a lifelong resident of the city and communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. He served in the Army during the Korean War and later worked at Continental Screw. He is survived by his loving son Donald J. Barselou of New Bedford; four grandchildren, Seth Barselou, Rene Barselou, Jr., Nathaniel Monteiro and Mary Gladu; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Barselou was the father of the late Rene A, Barselou, Maurice R. Barselou and Jeanine D. Barselou and brother of the late Theresa Savaria. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 10 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt.
