Andrea Giokas, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2023; she was 37. &Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. Andrea was born in Mansfield to Deborah and Dennis Giokas.

After Andrea graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School in 2004, for the past 14 years she worked at Seven Hills caring for disabled adults with her final position as Residency Director. She was such a loving and caring person which she instilled in her son.

Andrea's main passion in life was her son, Nicholas. She also was passionate about animals and loved her rescue dogs. Andrea is survived by her son, Nicholas Giokas of Rochester; her mother Deborah Giokas of Rochester; her father Dennis Giokas of Oakville Ontario; her sister Kristen Torres of Rochester; her brother Matthew Giokas and sister-in-law Megan Giokas of Mount Pleasant, SC; her niece Kaedence Torres of Rochester and her nephews Henry Giokas and Grant Giokas of Mount Pleasant.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10 AM– 12 PM followed by a short memorial service at 12PM in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care at 465 County St., New Bedford, MA. For memorial register or facility directions please visit, www.newdayfunerals.com.
