NEW BEDFORD-Anthony L. Gonsalves, Jr., 33, passed away on November 14, 2025.
Anthony was born in New Bedford and was the son of Patti G. Peterson and Anthony L. Gonsalves.

Anthony attended New Bedford High School and was employed as a driver for the Kennedy Donovan Center in New Bedford and worked in landscaping for several years. Anthony was a creative individual who loved to express himself through drawing and music. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was playing football or fishing with family. Anthony was a die-hard New England sports fan and enjoyed watching the Patriots and Celtics. He had a strong love and compassion for animals, especially his dog Maze.

Most of all, Anthony cherished the time he spent with his daughter Arabella who was the love of his life. He was happiest when watching her dance. Anothony will be remembered fondly for his funny and upbeat personality. He was truly a kind soul, always there for his loved ones. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter Arabella Gonsalves of New Bedford; siblings, Ashley Gonsalves, Katie Peterson, Angelica Gonsalves, Aylica Gonsalves, Andrew Gonsalves, Anthony M. Gonsalves and Keith Lake Jr., all of New Bedford; many nieces and nephews and a large loving extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 4-7pm in the Donaghy New-Day Funeral Home, 465 County St., New Bedford. Prayer services will be held at 6:30pm.
