NEW BEDFORD-Blenda "Jet" Thomas, 47, of New Bedford passed away peacefully Thursday, August 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Nadean K. (Slater) Thomas.

Born and raised in Orlando, FL, son of Violet (Thomas) McFarlane, he lived in upstate New York prior to settling in New Bedford in 2015. Blenda was a truck driver and drove for Genox West Transportation and prior J.P. Noonan. He loved driving truck and was a truly hard worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family the most.

He is survived by his loving wife Nadean;  his mother;  his children, Zualet Aughtry of Whitmire, SC, Tatyana, Kayla and Branson Thomas and Neisha Bailey all of New Bedford;  two siblings, Tanisha and Junior and several cousins and in laws.
