NEW BEDFORD-Charles G. Petitjean, 73, of New Bedford passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Hathaway Manor in New Bedford.  He was the former husband of the late Bernice (Mathias) Petitjean

Born in Acushnet, he was the son of the late George and Adrienne (St. Martin) Petitjean.

Charles served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and later worked for Ocean Spray.

Charles was an avid fan of all New England sports teams; and enjoyed playing the lottery.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert Petitjean and his wife Rita of New Bedford and Stephen Petitjean and his partner John Teixeira of Dartmouth.  He is also survived by his two nieces Erin Allen of Fall River; and Tracey Goodwin and her husband Scott of Stoughton along with two great nieces and two great nephews.  He was the brother of the late Donna and James Petitjean.
