*Service time change due to winter storm* NEW BEDFORD - Chris Raymond Lyonnais, 54, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2025.

Chris was born in New Bedford to Roland Lyonnais and Claire (Chmielewski) Hayes. During his time in the Navy, Chris was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.  He was a self employed carpenter most of his life, taking great pride in his craftsmanship.

He was loyal and selfless; he would help anyone in need. Chris enjoyed spending time with his friends and family - especially his children. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and attending heavy metal shows. Chris will be dearly missed by all who loved him

Chris is survived by his children Katie Lyonnais and her fiance Tyler Howe, Megan Lyonnais, his mother Claire Hayes of New Bedford, his siblings Neil Lyonnais of New Bedford, Beth Lyonnais and her partner Jason Medina of New Bedford and Casey (Lyonnais) Lafferty and her husband Jeremy of Fairhaven, stepmother Gail Lyonnais of New Bedford, his former wife and mother of his children Casey Parker, and his nieces and nephews Neil Lyonnais Jr, Evan Medina, Simone Medina, Kendall Chase, Logan Lafferty and Owen Lafferty. He was predeceased by his father Roland J. Lyonnais.
