Obituary

Cindy Lou Santos, of Onset, MA, born on December 13, 1951, passed away on July 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Stella Henry Silva and John B. “Skeeter.” Santos. She was predeceased by her sisters, Deborah A. Spinola and Dolores M. Lopes, and her brothers, John B. “Butchy” Santos Jr. and Rodney “Skeeter” Santos.

She is survived by her devoted daughter and the pride and joy of her life, Shyla Silvia; her cherished grandsons, Lay’vion and La’kyah, who brought her endless happiness; her twin brothers, Renee and Rory Santos, brothers, Bruce, Jovi and Freddy, sisters, Peggy, Linda and Shirley. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Cindy owned and operated her own housekeeping business for many years, where she built lasting relationships through her hard work, kindness, and dedication. She loved to dance, enjoyed cooking, and was especially known throughout the community for her delicious homemade Cape Verdean soup, Canja, which she generously prepared and shared at countless family gatherings and community functions.

Cindy Lou will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and bringing people together around her table will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks, with details to be announced by the family.
