NEW BEDFORD- Clifford "Bud" Anderson, Jr., 88, of New Bedford passed away peacefully Friday, January 24, 2025 after a period of declining health.  He was the loving husband of 66 years to Barbara (Fernandes) Anderson. H e is also survived by his children, Clifford Anderson, III and  Susan, Patrick Anderson and Alda  and Anita Kim Wright and  Larry;  six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Bud had many achievements in his life that he was proud of accomplishing, but to him being a retired Army veteran was his biggest achievement. He served 20 years in the Army and fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars before coming home to retire. After retirement Bud and his family briefly settled in Columbus, GA before moving to is wife Barbara's hometown, New Bedford. His last job of 20 years was at SEMass in Wareham and CMW in Carver.  He finally retired at the age of 78 to spend time working in his yard and on his home.

A graveside service will be held April 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford with military honors.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford.  For memorial register please visit, www.newdayfunerals.com.
