NEW BEDFORD-Corey S. Barboza, 52, passed away on October 20, 2025. He was the loving husband of Jaime A. (Carvalho) Barboza.

Corey was born in New Bedford and was the son of the late Claire M. Barboza.

Corey was a graduate of New Bedford High School and was employed for 29 years at Titleist/Acushnet Co., most recently starting his new role as an inspector. Corey loved to play golf and was a fabulous cook who enjoyed grilling. He always looked forward to family gatherings and feeding everyone in attendance with a smile on his face and a big cigar. Corey was always up for camping trips and spending time outdoors with his friends and was a die hard New York Yankees and Chicago Bears fan. Most of all, Corey was a devoted family man who would do anything for anyone. He will be remembered by those who knew him best for his larger than life personality.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Savannah Barboza and Bryanna Barboza of New Bedford and Shaniqua and Tyrese Barboza of New York; siblings, Cheryle and her husband Erikur, Tisha and Anthony; grandchildren, Zavioun and Zyaire Barboza, Aiyanna Dawson, and Zakari Gray.

Corey is also survived by many other siblings, many nieces and nephews and countless lifelong friends.

He was the brother of the late Thomas "Barry" Barboza.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 9-11am in the Donaghy New Day Funeral Home, 465 County St., New Bedford. Prayers will begin at 11am in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet.
