SOUTH DARTMOUTH-Cynthia Ann (Piva) Costa, 73, of South Dartmouth passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a brief illness.& She was the loving wife of 40 years to Manuel S. Costa.

Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late John and Mary (Medeiros) Piva, she lived on West Island in Fairhaven for many years and also Westport prior to settling in South Dartmouth 15 years ago.

Cindy had worked at Aiello Brothers for many years and later as a health caretaker. She loved hosting family gatherings, writing, scratching lottery tickets and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Manny; daughters, Dawn C. Gamage and her husband Ernest and Heather A. Costa and her fiancé Brent Bramwell all of Dartmouth; a step daughter, Melissa A. Correia of Fairhaven; six grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, Tyler, Macy, Mckenna and Mia; two brothers, Steven Piva of Fairhaven and Michael Piva of New Bedford; a sister, Brenda Larguinha of Westport and many nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to her as "Chick".
