Obituary

Dana E. Forget age 59 of Pawtucket and East Providence RI passed away peacefully with his family around him on December 26, 2024

Dana was born in Attleboro; beloved son of the late Roger and Eileen (Bays) Forget.

Dana spent his early years with his parents who provided him with many meaningful and happy experiences celebrating family gatherings and travel adventures to Cape Cod, and the Caribbean to name just a few adventures. Dana loved working beside his dad at his Attleboro store "Densmores", and everyone in town knew him and embraced him! Dana enjoyed community activities like Boy Scouts and The Special Olympics. Dana also had many happy memories of visiting his sisters Jennifer and Patricia and their loving families at the Cape, and Maryland. Later on when Dana's parents passed, Dana joined his sister Claudia's family in Pawtucket. During that time Dana participated in his church's activities where he became nephew Brendan's much loved CYO boys' basketball coach with brother-in-law Bill leading the way! Being the sports enthusiast that he was, Dana was at all of the St. Raphael High School sporting events for Emily, Brendan and Julia and he traveled to many of his niece's Julia's AAU basketball games, and later to his great niece Mya's games. He was a regular at Patriots training camp. Dana played on his own unified basketball team, and he became a pretty good tennis player with his family. Dana adored shopping, going out for coffee, hanging out at the beach, and trips to the Cape with his sister Claudia and brother-in-law Bill and the family. As the years went on great nieces and nephews Mya, Chris Jr., Mason, Margaret, and Wilhelmina were on the scene and the fun continued, as Dana enjoyed trips to the park, backyard BBQs, and family holidays! Finally, Dana was very fortunate to have his" Fogarty Family" who gave Dana so many meaningful adult experiences. From sailing, to day trips, to community events; Dana's Fogarty Family allowed Dana to flourish and be a confident adult in his community and home. Dana could not have had the rich and meaningful life that he had without his "Fogarty Family", and we are so grateful for them!

Dana is lovingly remembered by his many family members, and his extended "Fogarty Family"!!:):)
