DARTMOUTH-Daniel M. Cardoza, 90, of North Dartmouth passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a period of declining health. He was the loving husband of 65 years to Nancy L. (Ellis) Cardoza.

Born and raised in Dartmouth, son of the late Manuel J. And Irene (Pimental) Cardoza, he was a lifelong resident of the town.  Daniel served in the Army during the Korean War and later worked as a self employed upholsterer and owner of Country Squire Upholstery. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy;  his children Laurie A. George and her husband Donald of Rehoboth, Daniel M. Cardoza, Jr. of North Dartmouth and Kimberly A. Lawton and her husband Gregory of Fall River;  five grandchildren, Justin Cambra, Evan Cardoza, Matthew Schell, Miriam Quickle and Jacob Schell;  six great grandchildren, Kyle and Trevor Cambra, Gabriel Schell, Lucas and Ryan Quickle and Ethan Pearce;  a sister Arlene Bielski of Middleboro and several nieces and nephews.  Daniel was the brother of the late Dolores Soucy and Beverly DeSouza.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated and memorial visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 4-7pm in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford. For facility directions or memorial register please visit,
