Daniel A. Duarte, 66, of New Bedford passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.& Born in Acushnet, son of the late August M. Duarte and Roberta (Duarte) Lovegrove, he was a lifelong New Bedford resident.

Danny worked as a mechanic at various area automotive repair shops. He enjoyed riding his bike, radio controlled cars and was a wonderful artist.

He is survived by his son, Troy R. Duarte of New Bedford; a daughter, Sheena Mutlow of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Alexander and Candice Duarte; a brother, Kevin Duarte of New Bedford; and a Godson, Brandon Gonsalves of New Bedford. Daniel was the longtime companion and love of the late Susan Mutlow and father of the late Daniel A. Duarte, Jr.
