NEW BEDFORD - Daniel J. Raposa, 84, from Westport, MA passed away on January 3, 2026.

Born with Cerebral Palsy, he was the son of the late George C. Raposa and Agnes E. Raposa. His mother later created and founded The Schwartz Center for Children in New Bedford.

He will be missed by his best friend of 46 years Scott Souza who took care of him until the end.
