Daniel W. Rogers, age 93, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late William and Justina (Carmo) Rogers and was the beloved husband of the late Beatrice (Tavares) Rogers. Daniel was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War who enjoyed, playing his trumpet in various bands like the Skyliners and the New Bedford City Band, reading his Bible especially psalm 91 which was his favorite, being a handy man and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Joyce Soares, Jewel Silva, Kevin Silva, Geraldine Burgan, Margaux Mendes, and Daniel Rogers Jr., and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Audrey Soares and the late Carline Silva and brother of the late William Rogers Jr., and Ethylene Antunes.

Visitation for Daniel will take place on Friday November 17 from 8-9AM at the Donaghy New Day Funeral Home, 465 County St., New Bedford with a service immediately following at 9AM. Burial at MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
