NEW BEDFORD-Danielle (Martin) Barksdale passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at St.Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, she was the loving wife of Donald W. Barksdale.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Edward E. Martin and Eleanor Jane (Oliver) Martin. She was a life long resident of the area.

She enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren, listening to country music, going to hear her husband sing at events and going to Bally's Casino.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald; Stepmother, Connie Martin and brother, James Martin (wife Monica and niece Aurora)  her children, Lori-ane Lavoie, Melissa Westgate (husband Gary), Talon Lavoie also Crystal Bourassa and Jessica Barksdale: Grandchildren, Dakarya, James, Carter, Noah, Dominic, Angelina, Haley ,Louie Jr, Leighanna, Lynnse, Merandia, and Abbey and more loving family members; Niece Nikki Francis, her children Kaih, Zoey, and Emmy. She was the sister of the late Theresa Martin.

Celebration of Danielle's life will be held Thursday, July 9th at 2:30pm at Thousand Trails Gateway, 90 Stevens Road, Rochester, MA
