WAREHAM-David Elliott, formerly of Loughborough, Leicestershire, England, and most recently of Wareham, Massachusetts, United States, passed away on January 31st, 2024, after a long illness. He was the son of the late Sheelah Maureen (Caines) Elliott and the late Leslie Arthur Elliott, of England.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (Atwood) Elliott, his brother, Brian Elliott and his wife, Marilyn of Coalville, a brother, Robert Elliott of Loughborough, and a sister, Shellon (Elliott) Islip and her husband, John of Wootton Bassett, and several nieces and nephews, and their extended families, also from England.

David, "Dave," grew up and went to school in Loughborough, England, and earned an apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating at Loughborough Technical College. He then worked for some years for the Royal Mail Service before moving to the United States, where he married his wife, Sheila, in Massachusetts. Dave loved music, enjoyed his years in the USA, and always kept a very positive outlook on life.

David will be cremated, and those arrangements are being handled by Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care of New Bedford, Massachusetts. There will not be calling hours or a physical service, but since Dave loved keeping in touch with his friends all around the globe via the internet, there will be a private virtual service that all of his family and online friends will be able to join, at a date to be determined in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a health-related charity of your choice.
