Donald Lee Rigoli, 74, of Massachusetts, died on September 7, 2026, in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

He was born on March 2, 1952, in Newton, Massachusetts, to the late Philip and Claire (LaMore) Rigoli. Donald lived a life shaped by hard work, dedication, and the pursuits he enjoyed most. He built a career as a member of Local 4 Operating Engineers and worked as a crane operator. Among the accomplishments noted in his working life was his involvement with Boston’s Big Dig, a project that remains a significant part of the region’s history. In addition to his work as an operating engineer, he was also a local business owner.

Outside of work, Donald had many interests that brought enjoyment to his life. He loved NASCAR and especially enjoyed watching the Daytona 500. He was a devoted New England Patriots fan and a Red Sox fan, following both teams with enthusiasm. He was also an avid animal lover, leaving behind his dogs Spot, Buddy, and Shortie. Travel was another important part of his life, and he especially loved visiting Aruba. Among his many interests, flying held a special place for him. Donald had his pilot’s license and loved flying small planes to Florida. He was also a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast.

Donald is remembered by his partner, Carol Cherry; his daughter, Ashley and her husband, Ryan Thibeault; his sons, Michael Rigoli and his partner, Nicole Fowler, Donald Rigoli and Philip Rigoli; his grandchild, Everett Rigoli; his brothers, Robert Rigoli and his wife, Barbara, Philip Rigoli and his wife, Janet, James Rigoli and his wife, Cheryl, and Joseph Rigoli and his wife, Ann; and his brother-in-law, Jim Holland.

In addition to his parents, he was predecease his brother, Peter Rigoli and his sister, Marie (Rigoli) Holland.

Donald Lee Rigoli will be remembered for the life he built, the work he did, and the many interests that defined him. His memory remains with those named here and with others who knew him.
