ATTLEBORO - Edwina Witherell, 97, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025.

She was born in Attleboro to the late Edward Robinson and Gladys (Wilson) Morrel and grew up in South Attleboro.

Edwina worked in the lunchroom at Attleboro High School for 10 years. She was also a jewelry inspector at Tharpe Robbins Co for 15 years before she retired. Edwina loved baking and was wonderful; she made the BEST apple pie. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Carlton Witherell and his wife Donna, John Witherell and his wife Paula, Joyce Lescault, Steven Witherell and his wife Wendy, January Gorman, and Holly Witherell-Bianco; thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Edwina was predeceased by her daughter Carolyn Foster.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 20th from 3-6pm in the Foley-Cook New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro. Followed by a prayer service at 6pm. Burial will take place on Thursday, October 23rd at 11am in the Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth.
