ATTLEBORO-Eleanor R. Wright, 98, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025. She was the wife of the late Francis H. Wright.
Eleanor was born in Mansfield and was the daughter of the late Primo Mei and Maria (Badioci) Mei.
Eleanor was employed for many years as a cafeteria worker in the North Attleborough Public Schools and was a longtime member of St. Mark's Church. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club and volunteered her time at Sturdy Memorial Hospital for many years. Eleanor loved to cook for her family and especially enjoyed having coffee and her world famous brownies ready for her visitors. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin Wright and his wife Janice of Portsmouth, RI and Steven Wright of South Kingstown; siblings, Kathy Sankey, Mary Lou Shepardson, James Mei, Barbara Seymour, Gloria Blaisdell and Dora Sibilia; grandchildren, Bethany, Brandon, Steven, Jr., Kyle and Katie; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robert Mei, William Mei, Geraldine Pelletier and Ida Vacca.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 9am-10:30am in the Foley-Cook New Day Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro.
Mass of Christian Burial to Follow at 11am in St. Marks Church, Stanley St., North Attleborough.
Burial will follow in the St. John Cemetery, Attleboro.
