Obituary

Elvin Adolphus "Junior" Wilson Jr., 62, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Marcia, and his children.

Junior was the fourth of five children born to Elvin Adolphus Wilson Sr. and Lindalyn Wilson. From the moment he arrived—at a robust 12½ pounds—he made an unforgettable entrance, his first clothes needing to be cut and altered just to fit his hearty frame.

A proud student at Granville All-Age School, he embraced hard work early on. He worked as an attendant at the Wyndham Rose Hall Hotel, where his fondness for eating bread—specifically half—earned him the playful nickname "Half a Bread." Over his career, he repaired telephone networks as a Cable and Wireless technician, navigated New England highways as a truck driver, and held a license as a plumber.

Junior's joyful spirit was fueled by three lifelong loves: Jesus, family, and food. As a boy, he was forever sneaking sugar and milk from the kitchen, and at every family meal he'd ask for "more oil"—his code for extra gravy—so persistently that "More Oil" became another affectionate nickname among friends and teammates on the football and cricket fields.

Above all, he was devoted to his faith, teaching the Lord's word with unwavering conviction. His presence was bold, his humor infectious, and his love for his family boundless.

He leaves behind his wife, Marcia; children, Leon, Jody, Demar, and Dillan; sisters, Verna, Norma, and Beverly; many nieces and nephews; and his only granddaughter, Leonna.

As we gather to celebrate Junior's life, may our sorrow give way—even briefly—to gratitude for the laughter, lessons, and love he shared so freely. Though he has left our sight, he will never leave our hearts.
