ATTLEBORO-Franklin H. Capron, Jr., 90, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was the loving husband of Constance (Sherwood) Capron.
Frank was born in Attleboro and was the son of the late Franklin H. Capron, Sr., and Mazie (Obrist) Capron. He was the brother of the late Marcia Capron.
Frank was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Bristol Community College and resided in Attleboro his entire life. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was employed for many years with the family heating oil business, H.L. Capron & Son, and later retired after a time with W.H. Riley & Son. Frank enjoyed shooting black powder and spent several years as a Civil War reenactor. He was a longtime member of Mansfield Fish & Game Club. Frank's favorite place was home with his wife, but together they enjoyed family trips around New England. He and Constance also traveled with friends to the Caribbean. They are longtime members at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Taunton.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, William "Bill" Capron and his wife Mary of Coventry, RI, Lori Capron Galan of Fairport, NY and Edward "Ted" Capron and his wife Diana of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Hannah and Matthew; great grandchildren, Evan, Dylan, Isla, Jackson, Cecilia, Wyatt and Theresa; and niece Susan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frank's memorial service on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 11am in the chapel of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 111 High St., Taunton MA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Frank's memory to the St. Thomas Episcopal Restoration Fund.
