NEW BEDFORD-Gail L. Russell, 70, of New Bedford passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024.  She was born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Charles A. Russell, Jr. and Ruth (Bernard) Russell.

She was a 1972 graduate of New Bedford High School where she was on the girls basketball team.  Gail was a pharmaceutical technician for 42 years retiring from Walgreens in Fairhaven.  She was an avid bowler at Wonder Bowl for many years and took great pride in her vegetable garden and well manicured yard.

She is survived by her sister Jane Tripp and her brother in law Leon Tripp;  many loved nieces and nephews;  her three Godchildren, Robyn Shwedo, Shayna Barrett and Scott Silva;  not to mention her many close friends and neighbors.  She will forever be in our hearts.
