Obituary

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Grace E. McDonough, 78, of Attleboro, Massachusetts. She was called to her eternal rest on Monday, November 11, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Otis and Florence (Lee) Reed. Grace was a beloved wife to her predeceased husband Bernard P. McDonough for 32 years. Although born and raised in Rehoboth, Massachusetts she enjoyed taking road trips across New England.

Grace had a passion for many things and embodied the virtues of kindness, generosity, love, and understanding. She enjoyed the company of her family such as her siblings, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She looked forward to her "Sister Vacations," during the summer that they would participate in every year. Grace loved the Cape and the scenery of the canal. She touched the hearts of everyone she was introduced to. Grace was also a risk taker and loved going to the casino. Her favorite colors were green and purple, and in her leisure time she liked to read and finish as many crossword puzzles as she could. Her warm hug and embracive smile will be strongly missed.

Grace leaves behind her son Grover H. Welch Sr., and her daughter Victoria H. Welch. Her memory will be cherished through her grandchildren; Christopher Trotter, Stephan Trotter, Ronald Lapointe, Jessica Payne, Timothy Crowe, Grover Welch Jr., Jesse Welch, Tabitha Welch, and Hailey Godfrey, as well as the fourteen great grandchildren she adored. She is also survived by her siblings, Otis Reed Jr., Shirlee Thies, Jane Reed, John Reed, and Susan Reed-Aranjo, as well as many nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Lisa Welch, along with siblings, Betty Johnson, Dorothy Wombolt, Alice Oliver, Margret Henley, Linda Young, Robert Reed, Ralph Reed, and Herbert Reed.
