Obituary

EAST FREETOWN - Heath H.Chace, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 39 on December 12, 2024.

Heath was born in New Bedford, son of the late Harris H. and late Eleanor M. (Pittsley) Chace. He graduated from Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Heath was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, especially running his beloved beagles and spending time in the woods. He truly enjoyed the serenity found when being one with nature. Heath was self employed, working as a cemetery sexton, logger and in the firewood business. He loved to quote his dad by saying "The sky's the limit" in reference to overloading a logging truck. During the summer, you could find Heath at many county fairs throughout New England watching the tractor and horse pulls and enjoying the fair atmosphere.

Heath was a Gentle Giant and will be remembered most for his kindness to others.

Heath is survived by his niece Hannah, his Aunts Marjorie (Chace) Carrier and Patricia (Pittsley) Westgate her husband Alfred, and his "Uncle" Walter Carrier all of East Freetown, as well as  many cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Harris H. Chace Jr, and Heidi M. Chace.
