Helen Edith DeMello, 84, of Rochester passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 26, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, the day before her 85th birthday.

Born in New Bedford and raised in Acushnet, daughter of the late Edgar and Helen (Chase) Tripp, she settled in Rochester in 1970.& She was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Vocational High School and later worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide for almost 20 years at Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed reading, knitting, needlework and gardening.

She was survived by her only child, Sheri Lynn Adriano and my loving other half Jeffrey Rose. Three grandchildren: Taryn Lynn Adriano, Matthew Robert Adriano and fiancée Tiffanie Carlson and Jason Michael Adriano and his fiancée Ashley Holbrook. My mom had nine great grandchildren Andrew, Austin, Lily, Stella, Violet, Milani, Mia, Asher and Capri. She was greatly loved by us all and we will miss her immensely. I love you mom with all my heart you are now in a better place and pain free. Soar with your new wings and reunite with all your loved ones who passed before you.
