NEW BEDFORD-Helen F. (Ramsay) Fonteneau of New Bedford, 82, passed away peacefully June 17, 2025, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was the beloved daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Petrowski) Ramsay.

She is survived by her children, Maria Antonelli and her husband Brian, Rachel Martin and her husband Edgar III, her sister, Harriette Sevigny, her brothers, Robert Ramsay and his wife Cynthia, William Ramsay and wife Dena. She is also predeceased by a brother, Harold Ramsay. Helen is also survived by five Grandchildren, Joseph, Amber, Edgar IV, Zackary andMelissa and two Great Grandchildren Lazarus and Nova Rose.

Helen had many passions such as horses, travel, swimming and knitting hats for babies born

prematurely, but one passion rose above all others and was a constant in her life, her dogs.

Throughout the years she groomed dogs, bred show Poodles, and then Pomeranians, when

Love Pats Can't you hear my Heartbeat, aka Jake came into her life, he brought home the Gold!

Helen was a Caregiver for over 35 years with Clients living with her for up to 25 years. She loved to cook, sing, spend time with her family, and aid her neighbors, as they aided her by bringing her barrels up and down her driveway, which she greatly appreciated.
