FALL RIVER-James A. Royster, 56, passed away on July 5, 2024.

James was born in North Carolina and was the son of Ms. Perry Royster.

James spent most of his life living in the Southcoast. He was employed as a chef for many years and most recently worked at the Portsmouth Public House. He was a talented chef and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. James also loved to ride his bike, hike and spend time outdoors in nature and was always happiest when he was by the ocean. James also enjoyed shooting pool and playing tennis. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

James is survived by his children, Jasmine Dorleans and her husband Murason of Fall River and their children, Jamaria, Journei and Murason, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 12-2pm in the Donaghy-New Day Funeral Home, 465 County St., New Bedford.
