NEW BEDFORD-Jami L. Midence, 48, passed away on April 13, 2025. She was the wife of Herman E. Midence.

Jami was born in New Bedford and was the daughter of the late Raymond Nunes and Sharon (Brady) Nunes.

Jami was a graduate of Old Rochester High School and Bristol Community College. She was employed as a phlebotomist and later worked as an activities director at local nursing homes. She loved to shop and spend time with her husband her nieces and nephews whom she adored. She loved going on road trips whenever she could and always took the time to enjoy the little things that life had to offer. She will be remembered as a kind hearted and compassionate woman who always went out of her way to help others.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Tyelesha Reigle of PA, Brandan Midence of Fall River and Justin Midence of Johnston, RI; grandson Reece; siblings, Sharon, Annette and Paul and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service on Friday, May 2nd at 11am at Cushing Cemetery in Mattapoisett, MA.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Whalers Inn at 500 Hathaway Road New Bedford, MA
