FAIRHAVEN-Jane G. (Pearson) Pollard, 99, of Fairhaven passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Vantage Care of New Bedford. She was the loving wife of the late John Kenneth Pollard, Sr. Whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late Rowland and Nellie (Hilton) Pearson, she was a graduate of New Bedford High School and was a member of the South Primitive Methodist Church. The family had lived in Dartmouth for 39 years prior to her and Ken moving to Dana Farms in 2002. Jane had worked at the Berkshire Hathaway and later was a dental assistant for Doctor’s Charnley and Clawson. She enjoyed playing cards but most enjoyed sailing with her husband and family and were members of the New Bedford and Low Tide Yacht Clubs.

She was the mother of Cheryl J. Johnson of New Bedford and John K. Pollard, Jr. of Fairhaven and the late Marsha Almeida. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kimberly Boudreau and her husband Michael, Leisha brown, Kirsten Johnson and Erin Arroja; eight great grandchildren, Kiara, Kaidyn, Marc, Kenna, Emma, Tyler, Marissa and Jenna; two great, great grandchildren, Lylah and Isaac; Jane was the sister of the late William Pearson and Sally Watkins and mother in law to the late Van Johnson and Michael Almeida.

In accordance with her wishes she was cremated and a graveside service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 12PM in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
