Janet E. Darling (89 years old) of Pawtucket, RI passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025 surrounded by family. Born in Attleboro, MA on December 2nd, 1935. She was the daughter of Howard and Gladys (Hunter) Shaw.  Widow of Robert Darling. She is survived by two daughters: Beverly Darling, Attleboro, MA, and Carolyn (Carrie) Martin and husband Craig, of Canaan Vermont. Jan had three grandchildren: Brandon Oldham and wife Kelly of Turners Falls, MA; Paige Rice and husband Scott of Beecher Falls, Vermont; and Ashley Pittman and husband Brian of Newmarket, New Hampshire.

She had a great grandchild: Kayson Rice of Beecher Falls, Vermont. Also, she is survived by her sister: Dianne LeBeau and husband Ed of Attleboro, MA.  She was preceded in death by: one brother, Robert Shaw and wife, Ruth, of North Fort Myers, Florida.

Janet was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church, Seekonk, MA. She was a graduate of Attleboro High School, class of 1953.  She was a past Worthy Advisor of North Attleboro Assembly # 59 International Order of Rainbow for Girls, also, was awarded the Grand Cross of Color from that organization.  She was also a past Matron of Hope Chapter # 41 Order of Eastern Star.  She was a past member of Chapter # 3 New England and Chapter # 19 Rio Grande Valley in the Escapees RV Club. Janet was an avid fly fisherman and shotgun enthusiast. Jan and Bob were full time RVers until his death in 1999.

Memorial Service 10:00 AM Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Ave, Seekonk, MA, 02771. Reception to follow at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial Baptist Church via website: www.mbcseekonk.com/donate
