Jay Kmiec, age 72, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Donna Lee (Greenwood) Kmiec, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.

He was born Attleboro; son of the late Walter and Winifred (Lebaron) Kmiec. He built a fulfilling career as a union contractor, dedicating many years to his work. Outside of his professional life, Jay had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in gardening and spending time outside, often surrounded by friends and family. Jay cherished time with his children and enjoyed simple pleasures such as trips to the movies; especially action films, he also enjoyed attending car shows. His passion for life and his ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

In addition to his devoted wife, Jay is survived by his son Jason Kmiec and his daughter Kristen Betts and her husband Matthew.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Jean Cairo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Foley-Cook New Day Funeral Home, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro. Burial will be private.
