NEW BEDFORD- Jean Mae (Machado) Rizzuto, 81, of New Bedford passed away peacefully at home Thursday, November 27, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Rizzuto.

Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late Gene Machado and Evelyn (Corey) Correia, she lived most of her life in the city. Jean had various occupations by most the prevalent was waitressing.  She enjoyed her trips to the casinos, scratch tickets, gardening, sewing, she loved cooking for her family and friends and enjoyed the Fall Season and Christmas and walking her beloved dog Minnie.

She is survived by her children, Christopher Rizzuto and his wife, Lori, Gina Rizzuto and Bethany Rizzuto; her grandchildren, Derek, Gabriella, Ksea and her husband Jacob and Christian;  great grandchildren, Emily, Mason, Avah, Gianna, Kamryn and Addrianna;  her great great granddaughter, Ember;  siblings, Gary Machado and Joan Halle and several nieces and nephews.
