Jeannine M. (Laporte) Beland, age 87, a resident of South Attleboro passed away peacefully at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, on Friday, November 22, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald R. Beland, Sr.  with whom she shared 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2005.

She was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island; daughter of the late Ernest and Jeannette (Perrault) Laporte. Jeannine dedicated many years of her professional life to Texas Instruments, where she was known for her diligence and commitment.

A devout communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church in South Attleboro, Jeannine's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her vibrant and feisty personality was matched by her love for family gatherings, where she was often found capturing cherished moments with her camera. Jeannine had a particular fondness for the holidays, always donning outfits that celebrated the season, reflecting her meticulous attention to appearance. As an avid reader, Jeannine was especially fond of romance novels, finding joy and escape in their pages. She also enjoyed playing bingo, with the number 66 holding a special place in her heart.

Above all, Jeannine treasured her time with family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Her legacy of warmth, devotion, and spirited enthusiasm for life will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Jeannine's life was a testament to her enduring love for family, faith, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those she touched.

Jeannine is survived by her children Ronald Beland Jr. and his wife Candace, Daniel Beland, Rosemarie Pederson and her husband Brian, Ernest Beland, Lynn Pelkey and Kevin Beland; her 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jeannine is predeceased her siblings Muriel Belanger, Marcel LaPorte, Gerald LaPorte and Andrew LaPorte; her grandson Alexander Beland and her daughter in-law Luanne Beland.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 1pm - 4pm at Foley Cook New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 126 South Main St. Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11 AM in Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish, 18 Baltic St. South Attleboro. Interment will be private.
