Jo-Ann
Vaughn
December 30, 2025
Jo-Ann Marie Vaughn, 79, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Samuel P. Oliveira and devoted mother of Jenniffer A. McCoy.
Jo-Ann loved exploring New England's coastal beauty, especially the lighthouses that dotted its shores, and she cherished her many trips to Maine.
Her laughter was infectious, and she delighted in singing whenever she could. A phenomenal cook, especially known for her Italian cuisine, Jo-Ann had a gift for bringing people together around the table with meals made from the heart.
Jo-Ann was a passionate supporter of local theater. For more than three decades, she was a lifetime member of the Attleboro Community Theatre, where she found joy both on and off the stage. She also lent her voice and enthusiasm to the Norton Singers, sharing her love of music with fellow performers and audiences alike.
Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. An active member of Memorial Baptist Church in Seekonk, Jo-Ann found strength, purpose, and fellowship within her church community. She was also a proud "Friend of Bill" for 52 years, a testament to her resilience, compassion, and lifelong commitment to personal growth and helping others.
In addition to her husband, Sam, Jo-Ann is survived by her daughter, Jenniffer McCoy, and her husband, Stephen, as well as her beloved cat Juliette and her grand-pups, Apollo and Bella.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Vaughn.
