John Bernard Martin Jr. 6/15/43-10/7/24

Jack Martin escaped this mortal realm on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the age of 81 . We think he did it on purpose to avoid having to make a decision in the pending presidential election.

He is survived by his long time partner in crime for 38 years Marsha Craig, two horses- Lily and Precious, a cat- Emmitt, and a dog- Sassy.

Jack volunteered for services in the United States Air Force at the ripe age of 20 and immediately realized he didn't much enjoy being bossed around. He only stuck around for one war. He was stationed in Germany during Vietnam war time.

Upon his return to Massachusetts in 1969, thinking it best to keep an eye on him government officials hired Jack to train military personnel how to use specialized equipment for top secret projects. He retired from Raytheon after 40 years of service.

Looking back, Jack stated often that he and Marsha were the old folks decomposing in their landlord's basement. He also referred to their apartment as the OFA or old folks annex.  On one occasion when the hospice nursed asked him how he was doing, he said " well I've never died before so I have nothing to compare it to"!

Following his wishes, there will not be a service, but well wishes are encouraged to write a note of farewell on their favorite beverage and drink it in his honor.
