John K.
Everson
January 28, 2025
John Kennedy Everson, age 56, a resident of Attleboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Boston Medical Center.
He was born and raised in Brockton; son of the late Robert and Florence (Delaney) Everson, John grew up in Brockton alongside his six siblings. His childhood was filled with cherished family vacations in mobile homes, creating lasting memories on the road. In 1991, John joined his parents in the Caribbean after they retired and embarked on a sailing adventure. He treasured his time living there, embracing the beauty and serenity of island life.
John returned home to Massachusetts for medical treatment as he faced kidney disease and to be close to his family. He worked in an auto detailing shop, where he found joy in his craft and shared his passion for cars. John also loved repairing and riding BMX bikes, collecting Matchbox cars, and sailing—a pastime that brought him immense happiness.
A lover of music, particularly rock and classic rock, John's days were often accompanied by the rhythms that resonated with his spirit. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and polite demeanor. Always ready to lend a hand, he especially enjoyed helping his sister Jane and her husband with their fur babies, Jesse and Cooper.
He is survived by his sisters, Nancy Vigeant, Jane Wojdag and her husband Bob, Sally Everson and her husband Jose "Pepo" Rodriguez; her brother Robert Everson, Jr; his nephews Ed Powers, Paulo Rodriguez and Diego Rodriguez and his nieces Stephanie Powers and Petra Rodriguez.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Carol Jones and his brother Keith Everson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 1pm - 3pm at Foley-Cook New Day Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro. Burial will be private.
