Joseph "Ricky Joe, Stop it! " Gomes, 73, passed away from a long illness on January 8 at home. Born on August 24, 1951, in New Bedford, MA.

From a young age, Ricky Joe displayed a remarkable work ethic, Star Cab #14 for several years and taking on various jobs to support his family. He spent multiple years at different jobs, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. Friends and family often remarked on Ricky's commitment to working and willingness to help others. Ricky Joe enjoyed camping outside of work in Brewster, MA, which provided relaxation and joy after long days.

Ricky Joe is survived by daughters Kim-Rai Guyton of North Carolina and Shaylee Souto of New Bedford, preceded in death by his mother, Barbara DePina Stepfather Joesph Depina, and Father Joseph Gomes senior. Wife, Wanda Souto. Sisters Judy Gale Gomes, Joyce Depina, and Brother Dudley Gomes.

Surviving family members Aunt Bonnie DeGrasse Sisters Jo Ann Depina Roberts (Los Angeles), Kym Gomes (Florida), and Joila Gomes (Maryland), brother Kenny Gomes. Several grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

With respect to the wishes of Mr. Gomes' family, private services will be held.
