Kathleen Mary Anthony, formally of Dartmouth MA, passed away peacefully after a life filled with joy, laughter and love at the age of 89. Cathy was predeceased by her late husband Gerald (Jerry) Anthony who passed in 2022.

Cathy and her husband Jerry spent a lifetime together full of travel, time enjoyed with family and friends and shared a close bond with their four children. Cathy was a friend to all. She enjoyed meeting new people and learning everything she could about them.

Early in her marriage, she and her late husband moved several times in support of his career as an engineer for the governmentbefore settling in North Dartmouth to be closer to their extended family and friends.

Cathy had a love for children. In her earlier years, she was a director at a preschool, something she was very proud of. Her caring nature and quick wit were characteristics loved by all and she carried those qualities throughout her life.

Cathy was an avid artist, keeping herself busy painting among other artistic endeavors. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, often around a table full of family and friends.

Cathy adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, keeping a special relationship with each of them.

Her last two years were spent in the care of the wonderful staff at Sacred Heart Nursing home in New Bedford, MA. They have shared their fondness for her quick wit, friendly smile and conversations. We are incredibly grateful to all of the staff for the care they provided in support of her health and happiness during her stay.

Her family would like to thank everyone who has expressed their condolences. She will be incredibly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

Private services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, and in the true spirit of who Cathy was, she would prefer you bought a bouquet for yourself. Always the first to tell you how beautiful and wonderful you were, she never forgot to remind you to return those kind words to her as well. Cathy showed us how to fiercely love family, friends and most importantly, yourself.

Cathy and Jerry left behind a son Michael and his wife Nancy (Sears) Anthony and their children, Michaela Zaring, her husband Mark and their daughters, Harper and Scarlett. Samantha Anthony and her partner Dr. Bridgette Thompson,Cameron Anthony, and Elizabeth Anthony. A son Robert Anthony and his partner Carole Rioux, her children Amanda, Derek and his son, Noah Rioux. A daughter, Sharon (Anthony) McCarthy and her husband William. Sharons' children, Brittany Carter, Brennen Carter and his wife Molly, and Erin Carter and her partner Ryan Wilson. A son Christopher Anthony and his partner Brenda Cataloni.

Cathy was very close with her siblings, the late Sheila Koska, William Green and his wife Yvonne, Harry Green and his wife Susan, and her sister and best friend Maribeth Turner. Her brother-in-law Kevin Anthony, his wife Nancy Costa, and her sister-in-law Marion Asquino.
