It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Anne Kade-Birks, who passed away on June 28, 2026, at the age of 60, at Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Kathleen was a longtime resident of Attleboro, Massachusetts. She was known for her kind heart, caring nature, and unwavering devotion to her family. She spent many years working as a cab driver in Attleboro, where she became a familiar and friendly face throughout the community. Later, she dedicated herself to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that reflected her compassion and generosity.

Above all, Kathleen cherished her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Bannister; her children, Susan Berio, Katie Hahn and her husband, Clifford Lounsberry, Daniel Hahn, Brittany Ferreira, and Melissa Sousa and her husband, Alec Sousa; her son-in-law, Brandon Ferreira; her treasured grandchildren, Brooklyn Berio, Haylee Berio, Bentley Berio, MaKenna Fox, Braxton Ferreira, and Lukas Lounsberry; her siblings, Thomas Kade, Jack Kade, and Maureen Robertson and her husband, David Robertson; and her beloved nieces and nephews, as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Kade and Josephine A. Kade, and by her sister-in-law, Diane Kade, the beloved wife of her brother, Thomas Kade.

Kathleen will be remembered for her strength, warmth, sense of humor, and the love she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foley-Cook New Day Cremation and Funeral Care in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Kathleen's life, share memories, and celebrate the love she brought into the lives of so many.
