ACUSHNET- Kristina M. (Pontes) White, 62, of Acushnet passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her son's home, in Dighton on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. She was the wife of the late Timothy White of Acushnet and mother of the late Jessica White.

Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late Louis and Florida (Pelletier) Pontes, she was a graduate of New Bedford High School and later settled in Acushnet. Kristina battled illness most of her life and fought for over a year with her second battle with cancer before being able to rest with her awaiting family. The way Kristina lived her life, dedicated to unconditional love and support, left her legacy imprinted in her family's hearts and memories. She was a devout mother and grandmother who spent her years filling her family with joy and happiness. Nothing made Kristina happier than spending time with her grandson at karate or bringing her granddaughter a little trinket with every visit. She held no stops when it came to her son Jason and would go to any length to ensure his happiness and success. Anyone who knew Kristina knew she lived for her family. Until the very end she was quoted saying "I can give more".

She is survived by her loving son, Jason T. White and his wife Tina of Dighton; three grandchildren, Liam, Amelia White, and Olivia Pereira; two brothers, Robert Pontes and his wife Cheryl and Robin Pontes; and beloved nieces and nephews Jeremy, his wife Kim, and Heather Pontes.
