In Loving Memory of Lisa Averill

Passed Away July 20, 2026

With immeasurable sadness and everlasting love, we announce the passing of Lisa Averill on July 20, 2026.

Lisa was the very definition of grace and beauty. Her beauty was undeniable, but those who truly knew her understood that her greatest beauty came from within. She carried herself with quiet elegance, a gentle spirit, and a heart overflowing with compassion. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved simply by being herself.

Yet alongside that grace was a wonderful sense of humor. Lisa loved to laugh and had an incredible ability to make others laugh too. She could lighten any room with her quick wit, playful personality, and infectious smile. She found joy in life’s little moments and reminded those around her not to take life too seriously. Even during difficult times, she never lost her ability to bring comfort through laughter.

Her greatest love and proudest role was being a mother to her beloved son, Jacob Souza. He was the center of her world, and she loved him with every part of her heart. The love she poured into him will continue to live on through his life.

Lisa is lovingly survived by her son, Jacob Souza; her father, Edward Silva; her stepmothers, Donna Silva and Dianne Camara; her devoted sister, Lauren Silva and David Newhard; her stepbrother, Joseph Wood; her cousin Melissa Boucher along with many extended family members and cherished friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in remembering the extraordinary woman she was. Her grace taught us kindness. Her beauty reminded us that true radiance comes from the heart. Her laughter brought light to even the darkest days, and her love leaves an imprint that time can never erase.

We will miss her beautiful smile, her contagious laugh, her gentle heart, and the effortless way she made everyone around her feel at home. Though she is no longer by our side, her grace, her beauty, and her love will remain with us always.

Special thanks to Brown University Hospital, the team at Harborside Hospice, and Country Gardens Nursing home.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our beautiful Lisa.
