NEW BEDFORD- Lisa Ann Gomes, 62, of New Bedford passed away Monday,

February 17, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. She was the fiancé of Jerry

Anacleto of New Bedford.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late George and Olga R. (Mendonca) Gomes, she

was a lifelong resident of the city and attended the Redeeming Family Church on

Jefferson Street in New Bedford. Lisa worked as a CNA at Hathaway Manor of New

Bedford for 17yrs where she adored her patients and had many friends. She loved

spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Dedra Gomes and her husband Jesse, Tammara

Leandre and Joseph A. Monteiro, Jr. all of New Bedford and Jillian Serrano and her

husband Adam of Fairhaven; her fiancé Jerry; two brothers, John Gomes and Robert

Gomes and his wife Gailyn Pina-Gomes all of New Bedford; 12 grandchildren; Kasey,

Kamren, KayLynne, Payton, Jaykob, Tyler, Nathan, Serenity, Brayden, Leyah, Landyn

and Grayson, three great grandchildren, Hayden, Athena and Ariya; and many nieces

and nephews. Lisa was the sister of the late Gil, Barry, David, Glenn, Gregory and

Ronald Martin, George Gomes and infant twins, Debbie and Darleen.

In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be at a

later date to be announced by the family. Arrangements are by the Donaghy New Day
