NEW BEDFORD-Manuel S. Duarte, 64, of New Bedford passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a period of declining health.  He was the loving husband of 38 years to Emanuela C. (Duarte) Duarte.

Manuel was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, son of the late Manuel and Conceicao (Sousa) Duarte. He was a foreman for Diaz Construction. Manny was an avid soccer fan and followed Benfica SC.

He is survived by his loving wife Emanuela;  his children, Lisandra Ferreira and her husband Patrick, Kimberly and Christian Duarte all of New Bedford;  three grandchildren, Camden and Ashton Ferreira and Kyler Barboza;  his siblings, Zenaide Duarte and Jose Duarte both of Portugal, Fatima Teves of New Bedford and Serafim  Simas of Fall River and several nieces and nephews.
