Manuel A. Farias of New Bedford passed away unexpected on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the age of 65. Manuel was born in Furnas, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria dos Anjos (Ferreira) Frias.

Manuel came to New Bedford in 1981 after finishing his time in the Portuguese Army. He came here as a young man and worked as a landscaper for over 40 yrs, he loved working with his son Steven beside him.  His pride was always taking care of his flowers and his plants. He adored playing with his pets when he got home after a long day, and sharing his day with his son Brian.

Mr. Farias is a survived by his two sons, Brian Anthony Farias and Steven Pimentel Farias both of New Bedford;  His siblings  are Ana Pacheco and her husband Joao Pacheco, Lurdes Pacheco and her husband Jaime Pacheco all of Canada,  his twin sister Conceicao Estrela and her husband Jose Estrela of Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel. He was brother of late Maria dos Anjos Pimentel and her late husband Jose Pimentel,  also a brother Jose Camara and wife Maria Fernanda Camara. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
