Maria was a woman with a beautiful heart—kind, selfless, and always putting others before herself. She found her greatest joy in caring for the people she loved. Whether it was cooking, laughing together, or simply being present, Maria made every moment with her family feel special. Movie nights were one of her favorite traditions, filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness.

A woman of strong faith, Maria found comfort in reading the Bible and trusting in God. Her faith guided her life and gave her strength, even in difficult times. She also found peace in simple joys, like tending to her garden and watching things grow.

More than anything, Maria was a devoted mother, a loving sister, and a cherished aunt. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on in all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Mayerlin Checo; her son, Jayden Checo; her niece, Jomaliza Carela; as well as many brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Though she is no longer with us, Maria's love, her kindness, and her spirit will remain with her family always.
