Maria C. (Botelho) Costa, 91, of New Bedford passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Care One of New Bedford.& She was the wife of the late Virgilio A. Costa.

Born in Rosario, Lagoa, St. Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Jose and Maria R. (Oliveira) Botelho, she came to the United States in 1972 and settled in New Bedford in 1973. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Eduarda Costa of New Bedford and Ana Paula Manchester and her husband Al of Westport; three grandchildren, Daria, Griffin and Garrison Manchester; a sister, Maria Ilda Pacheco of Portugal and many nieces and nephews. Maria was the sister of the late Maria I. Misturada, Maria Luisa Botelho, Eduard Botelho, Antonio Botelho and Jose Fernando Botelho.
