NEW BEDFORD-Maria (Teves) Victoria, 79, of New Bedford passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, surrounded by her family, after a period of declining health.  She was the loving wife of the late Joao Victoria.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, daughter of the late Jose Teves and Alexandrinha Sousa, she settled in New Bedford where she was a member of the Assembly of God Renewal in Christ. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings.

She is survived by her two daughters, Alcina Araujo and her husband Durval and Elsa Carvalho and her husband Evaristo all of New Bedford;  six grandchildren, Justin Victoria, Jacklyn Araujo, Eric Victoria, Chantel DeBiasio and her husband Michael, Jasmine Araujo and Cody Araujo;  six great grandchildren;  five siblings, Manuel Teves, Lurdes Melo, Jose Duarte Teves, Maria Teves and Espírito Santo Linhares;  and several nieces and nephews and cousins.  She was the mother of the late Jose G. Victoria.
