Marie Jeannie Parent, 55, passed away on August 29, 2025, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Born in Lafleche, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Nancy (Snell) Teser and long time companion of Ozzy Carvalho. Marie brought warmth and joy to those around her with her sense of humor and deep rooted love which she shared with everyone throughout her life.

Marie found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching movies,  playing bingo and games that brought laughter and connection to those around her. Her loyal dog Zoey was a constant companion who brought her comfort and companionship.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Marie's greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sasha Pacheco and Kayara Harrison; her cherished grandchildren, Kyasia, Elijah, Daisha, and Kataleya; and her adored great-grandchildren, Reilani and Emilia. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Bernice and Joanne.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her legacy of love bring peace to those she held dear.

Calling hours for Marie will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 4-7PM at Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County St. in New Bedford.
