NEW BEDFORD-Marion (Wilson) Viveiros Menard, 84, of New Bedford passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at home after a period of declining health.  She was the wife of the late Alfred "Popeye" Viveiros and the late Wilfred Menard.

Born in Freetown she was the daughter of the late John and Rachel (Lake) Wilson. Marion had worked at Clean Rentals and was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Henry Viveiros and several nieces and nephews.  She was the mother of the late Alfred Viveiros, Jr. and sister of the late Gertrude M. Cornell, Ester Pacheco and Richard A. Lake.

Her funeral service will be Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11AM in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford.
